How quickly can I use my benefits after signing up?
Same day. Once your enrollment is complete — whether online through clerri.com/ZP2N or by phone with our team — your membership is active immediately. No 30-day waiting periods, no underwriting, no paperwork delays.
Is this dental insurance?
No. The Sunset Smiles Membership Plan is offered directly by our practice and administered through Clerri. It is not insurance, and it is not a qualified plan under the Affordable Care Act. You pay us monthly or annually, and you receive specific services and discounts. There's no insurance company in the middle, which is why there are no claims, denials, or waiting periods.
Which plan should I choose?
Child Complete ($30/month) is for patients 13 and younger and includes a fluoride treatment. Adult Complete ($35/month) is the most common choice for patients 14 and older with healthy gums. Perio ($50/month) is for patients 14+ who need periodontal maintenance — Dr. Martinez can tell you at your first visit if this is the right fit for you.
Can I cancel?
The plan runs for 12 months from the date you join. You can cancel anytime — and if you cancel within the first 30 days and you have not received any discounted services during the term, you'll get a full refund of fees paid. After 30 days or after using any discounted services, the plan continues for the remainder of the 12-month term.
You'll get an email reminder 45 days before your renewal date, and you can manage auto-renewal through your member portal at Clerri.
Does the 20% discount really apply to everything?
Yes — the 20% member discount applies to all procedures completed at Sunset Smiles, including cosmetic work like ceramic crowns, porcelain veneers, professional whitening, dental bonding, and restorative work like fillings and implants.
What if I need more than two cleanings a year?
Additional cleanings beyond what's included are discounted 20% along with everything else. Most adult patients only need two per year unless you have specific periodontal needs — in which case the Perio plan is built for exactly that.
Can I use this with insurance I already have?
This plan is designed for patients without dental insurance. If you have insurance, we can run the numbers with you to see which option saves you more. Cannot be combined with insurance benefits or other promotional offers.
