Cost should not be why you delay the care that protects your teeth — or the cosmetic work that finally gets you the smile you want. We offer four ways to pay, and most patients combine them: insurance + one financing option for the patient portion. Below is how each works, when to use it, and a calculator so you can see what a monthly payment actually looks like.

Adjust the treatment amount, term length, and APR to estimate a monthly payment. Actual rate and term depend on your Cherry application.

When to use which option
A short cheat sheet. Most patients combine insurance with one financing path.
| Your situation | Best option | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Single large treatment Veneers, implants, smile makeover | Cherry | Simplest fixed monthly. 0% APR if qualified. No revolving credit to manage. |
| No dental insurance | Membership + Cherry | Membership covers your two yearly cleanings + 20% off everything else. Cherry covers the remaining 80% in installments. |
| Ongoing healthcare costs Family of patients, multiple providers | CareCredit | Healthcare credit card. Use across providers and over time. Deferred-interest promotional offers. |
| Routine visit only | Credit card or HSA/FSA | For amounts you would just pay anyway, no financing needed. HSA/FSA gives you a tax advantage. |
| You have insurance | Insurance + Cherry for patient portion | We bill insurance first and finance only what is left. |
Common questions
Does applying for Cherry hurt my credit score?
No. Cherry's pre-qualification uses a soft credit pull, which does not affect your credit score. If you proceed with a Cherry plan, a hard inquiry may be reported at that point — Cherry will tell you before you commit.
What is the difference between Cherry and CareCredit?
Cherry is a fixed monthly payment plan for a specific treatment amount, with terms from 3 to 60 months and 0% APR available for qualified borrowers. CareCredit is a healthcare credit card with promotional deferred-interest periods (typically 6 to 24 months on $200+). Cherry is often simpler when you have one treatment to pay for. CareCredit is more useful if you want an ongoing healthcare card to use across providers.
Can I combine financing with dental insurance?
Yes. We bill your dental insurance first. Whatever is left as your patient portion can then be paid with Cherry, CareCredit, credit card, HSA/FSA, or cash. Many patients use insurance + Cherry to spread the patient portion of large treatments.
What credit cards do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. We also accept debit cards, HSA and FSA cards for qualifying dental treatment, Apple Pay and Google Pay at the front desk, and cash or personal check.
How does the $30/month membership plan work?
The Sunset Smiles Membership Plan is offered directly through our practice. For $30/month (or $35/month adult, $50/month perio), it covers two cleanings, two exams, and routine X-rays per year, plus one emergency visit and 20% off all other treatment. There are no waiting periods, deductibles, or annual maximums. It is not dental insurance. See the full plan details →
What if I'm not sure what I need yet?
Start with a comprehensive exam. Our $149 new patient special includes the exam, digital X-rays, and a cleaning. We can give you a treatment plan and an exact estimate, and walk through which payment option fits your situation. No pressure to decide that day.
