Karol Ortegon, RDH is a Registered Dental Hygienist dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalized care and patient education. At Sunset Smiles, she's the person most patients see the longest at every visit — and she treats that time as a chance to teach, not just to clean.

Karol brings a depth of training few hygienists can match: originally from Colombia, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Antioquia in Medellín before continuing her dental career in the United States. That dentist-level education means she reads X-rays, spots early problems, and understands treatment plans from both sides of the chair — and knows when to bring something to Dr. Martinez's attention early, while it's still simple to fix.
