Dental emergency FAQs

What counts as a dental emergency?

Severe or persistent toothache, a broken or knocked-out tooth, a lost filling or crown, swelling or signs of infection, and dental injuries from an accident all warrant prompt care. If you’re unsure, call (561) 295-3430 and we’ll help you decide.

My tooth was knocked out — what do I do?

Pick the tooth up by the crown (not the root), gently rinse it without scrubbing, and if possible place it back in the socket or keep it in milk. Then call us immediately — a knocked-out tooth has the best chance when treated quickly.

Can I be seen the same day?

We keep room in our schedule for urgent cases and see dental emergencies the same day whenever possible. Call as early as you can so we can fit you in.

What if it’s after hours?

Call (561) 295-3430 for instructions. If you have severe facial swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or trauma from a serious accident, treat it as a medical emergency and go to the nearest emergency room.

How much will emergency treatment cost?

It depends on what’s needed, and we’ll always explain costs before proceeding. We accept most PPO insurance and offer Cherry financing so you can get relief without delay.
